Sorgem Evaluation

Sorgem Evaluation provides litigation support and financial valuations. With a team of around 25 employees, the company is regularly involved in business valuation assignments in a variety of contexts (stock market, tax, accounting, litigation). Sorgem Evaluation has carried out numerous fairness opinions and appears as one of the major players in Valuation and Litigation Support according to the latest Décideurs rankings, being classified in ten ‘unmissable’ or ‘excellent’ categories.
The company is part of the Sorgem Group, which was founded over 50 years ago and which, in addition to the valuation and litigation support services provided by Sorgem Evaluation, also carries out strategic brand and positioning studies via the Sorgem Advance entity.
Sorgem Evaluation has three partners (Thomas Hachette, Claire Karsenti and Maurice Nussenbaum), all of whom are Experts de Justice in Economics and Finance at the Paris Court of Appeal, members of the APEI, the Compagnie Nationale des Experts Financiers at the Paris Court of Appeal and the SFEV (Société Française des Evaluateurs). All three teach at renowned universities and schools.
Sorgem Evaluation, through its members, has led or participated in a number of working groups dealing with fairness opinions and the valuation of company shares, including recently the APEI working group on fair prices in the context of takeover bids, the SFEV working group on management packages and the AMF working group on the conditions for implementing squeeze-outs and independent valuations in the context of takeover bids.
